This tool removes solid-color backgrounds from images using a color-threshold algorithm. It works best on images with a uniform background (white, black, green screen, or any solid color). It is not an AI-powered tool — complex backgrounds with gradients or multiple colors may not be removed cleanly. For product photos on white backgrounds, logos, and screenshots, it works great.

No. This tool uses a color-threshold algorithm that removes pixels matching the target color within a tolerance range. It works best on solid, uniform backgrounds.

What tolerance should I use?

Start with 40 (the default). Increase it if background remnants remain, or decrease it if parts of your subject are being removed.

Can I remove complex backgrounds?

This tool is designed for solid-color backgrounds. Complex scenes, gradients, or multi-colored backgrounds will not be cleanly removed. Use a dedicated AI tool like remove.bg for those.
